Honey Bee

Honey Bee Aug 21, 2008 at 5:30pm

I’m pretty sure this is a honey bee, not a wasp.

Yellowjackets, in contrast to honey bees, are not covered with tan-brown dense hair on their bodies and lack the flattened hairy hind legs used to carry pollen. — Wikipedia

So there we have it.

And, err, sorry about the long pause in postings. For those of you who haven’t noticed, I’ve redesign the site! The layout, colours, and code have all been re-done from scratch.

Aside from a completely custom built back end, one of the new features of the site is the option of subscribing. You’ll get a short email every time a new photo is posted so you won’t have to keep checking back here everyday looking for new content.

Let me know what you think.
